SUMMARY:Heartfelt Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Heartfelt Exhibition \nCurated by artist Elaine Harris \nSat 14 – Sun 15 March\nSat 21 – Sun 22 March\nSat 28 March – Wed 1 April\n10am – 4pm\n \nThis exhibition brings those hidden treasures into the light. Local people across Dorset—young, old, and everyone in between—have generously shared the objects they hold dear, along with the stories behind them. \n\n \n“It means so much to me that I just can’t let it go” Discover heartfelt stories behind a collection of cherished keepsakes, shared by local people.\n\nWe all have those small, irreplaceable objects we can’t quite give away—the ones tucked in lofts, drawers, and forgotten corners until we stumble on them and feel a rush of memory, emotion, and connection. Though they may hold little monetary value, they carry the weight of our stories. And yet, when we’re gone, these precious keepsakes often lose their meaning in the hands of others.\nSometimes sentimental, sometimes funny, and sometimes deeply moving, these recorded, written, and filmed memories invite you to reflect on your own cherished keepsakes and the memories behind them.\nWe will also be exhibiting artworks on the theme of “Heartfelt” by Artwey members.\n\nFind the exhibition at Nothe Fort’s fascinating underground level. Entry to this exhibition is included free with your admission ticket or annual pass. \nThis showcase marks the final chapter of Artwey’s Crossing Different Paths project, created in support of Weymouth and Portland’s Towns of Culture events. With thanks to Weymouth Town Council and Dorset County Council for their generous support.\nFor more information, contact info@artwey.co.uk ( mailto:info@artwey.co.uk ).\n \n \nADMISSION INFORMATION:\n\n\nThis event is included in the price of admission and is FREE with an Annual Pass.\n\n\nThe exhibition is downstairs underground – accessible via stairs and a lift.\n\n\nWhat3Words Location for Nothe Fort: dogs.claim.nest\n\n\nParking: parking is available outside the fort at Nothe Car Park (What3Words: mixed.stuck.serve)\n\n\nSeating Provided: – There are seats all around the Fort if required while on site.\n\n\nFood and Drink: The Fort View Café will be open for the duration of this event.\n\n\nDogs: We are a dog-friendly museum.
