Nothe Fort Carnival Night
Nothe Fort welcomes visitors to an evening of entertainment and history to celebrate Weymouth’s Carnival’s activities overlooking Weymouth Bay.
The Fort will be open right through the evening showcasing the fantastic views along the Jurassic Coast. Everybody is welcome as this event will be a good social opportunity for visitors and local people to get together and enjoy some tasty food and drink at Weymouth’s premier historical attraction.
Overlooking Weymouth Bay, the Nothe Fort is an ideal vantage point to watch the Weymouth Carnival air display between 1pm and 4pm. If this is not enough why not stay or visit during the evening and enjoy all what the Fort has to offer as we are open until 10pm to enable visitors to view the fireworks display at 9.30pm which closes the carnival.
The firework display will commence after the firing of the Nothe Fort Victorian cannons, from the Fort ramparts, which is an impressive event to see.
The Fort View café will remain open throughout the day and evening, serving hot and cold snacks and drinks, and there is also a licensed bar open from 5pm to 9.30pm in the lead up to the fireworks.
All areas of the Fort will be accessible throughout the day, and the Matchstick Fleet will also be on display at this time. Please note that we are dog friendly, and all areas are accessible for our disabled visitors. Parking is available at the Nothe Gardens car park which is free after 6pm.
An event not to be missed.
Normal admission prices apply all day and annual passes are accepted.
