Our Café is officially great for families!

Find out more about the Family Café Standard and find a full list of accredited venues at kidsinmuseums.org.uk

Café Selection

You can enjoy dining in a Victorian Casemate or relax in our Parade Ground.

Each day, Fort View Café serves a delicious selection of freshly made hot and cold snacks, with cakes and scones made daily on site, using fresh and locally sourced produce. We are so lucky in Dorset to work with many wonderful local suppliers, including Baboo Gelato Ice Cream, Clipper Tea, Full Circle Coffee and locally made scones and cakes and baked goods.

See the Fort View Café menu to discover a range of tea, coffee, cream teas, breakfast baps, homemade soup, sandwiches, cakes, and much more.

We offer gluten free, vegetarian and vegan option. Please ask on the day.

We also offer water refills and free WiFi in the café.

One half of the square image includes the kids in museums font logo at the top of a circle of dots, in the middle is a gold 5 pointed star with crossed kitchen utensils in black lined art. The writing at the bottom of the circle reads FAMILY CAFE STANDARD. Beneath that is an image of five of the cafe team holding trays of cakes and example lunch bags.
The cafe is fabulous and worth visiting for that alone. Home made cake – yum.
