About Standing with Giants
Standing with Giants is a registered charity founded by Oxfordshire artist Dan Barton. They create large-scale outdoor remembrance art installations, individually hand made from upcycled materials by volunteers. Previous installations include 1,475 giants at Normandy for the 80th Anniversary of D Day in 2024.
These installations provide a meaningful space for people to visit, reflect, grieve, and discuss, bringing individuals together to remember those who fought for freedom, both past and present.
About Standing With Giants: The Falklands Tribute
The Falklands Tribute includes life-sized silhouettes of the 255 military personnel and 3 civilians who lost their lives during the Falklands conflict in 1982.
These figures will be on display in and around Nothe Fort parade ground and ramparts, for visitors to walk amongst and reflect.

1945: Through Hell to Victory Touring Exhibition
1945: Through Hell to Victory is the latest touring exhibition from The Keep Military Museum in Dorchester. The exhibition tells the story of the end of the Second World War, as experienced by the people and regiments of Devon and Dorset. From the beaches of Normandy to the jungles of Kohima, our local heroes were at the forefront of turning the tide of war, seeing it through to victory and beyond.
1945: Through Hell to Victory exhibition is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to curate and present the exhibition at The Nothe Fort, amongst other locations. The exhibition is also funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and awarded by Museum Development South West with thanks to support from Arts Council England.
