We are pleased to announce that Nothe Fort won Gold for the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year in the Dorset Tourism Awards 2025!
This year’s Dorset Tourism Awards were held in our wonderful home town of Weymouth, in a lovely evening event at Weymouth Pavilion.
The Large Visitor Attraction of the Year Category was kindly sponsored by Albert Goodman Chartered Accountants.
General Manager at Nothe Fort, Mary-Anne Edwards, said:
The entire Nothe Fort team are thrilled with the news.
It feels overwhelming to go from Commended to Gold in our second year in the Large Visitor Attraction category. This success is due to the passion, pride, and kindness that our volunteers and community partners demonstrate daily, and we are so pleased to see these qualities recognised by the judges.
The award ceremony at the Weymouth Pavillion was a fabulous event, and it was wonderful to win in our hometown of Weymouth! It is an honour to be listed with so many amazing Dorset businesses.
The Gold Award gives us all a real sense of confidence and a renewed enthusiasm to deliver quality experiences.
We are looking forward to bringing the art installation ‘The Falklands Tribute by Standing With Giants’ to Weymouth in November 2025, from 5th – 30th.
From the positive reactions we have already received, we know that it will be very popular exhibition with our local community and visitors.
Thank you to all our amazing volunteers and community partners who support the Fort and make it a special place to work and visit.
